Polished Golden Amphibolite slab GA149 Kumarina Dimensions at widest point approximatelyGA149 A slab, polished on one side. Dimensions at widest points approximately 110 mm x 80 mm x 7 mm thick. Weighs 121 grams. The amphibolite, most likely grunerite , has now been largely altered to hematite, goethite and quartz and it displays a beautiful golden iridescence. Also called "Gold Leaf Stone". It occurs in the Pilbara region of Western Australia on Abydos Station approximately 120 km south of Port Hedland.
