It then spent the ensuing 13 years in ex red wine barrels sourced from Chteau Montrose in appellation Saint Estphe of Bordeaux. It was during this extended maturation period that they whisky developed it's extraordinary dark berry fruit flavors. This exceptional vintage bottling was then rounded off by marrying it with whisky
