Description
MOLECULAR BIOLOGY GRADE
Agarose is a natural product that forms an inert matrix used in electrophoresis
The culture can then be lysed and the protein expressed and purified through a number of methods
Resistance to ampicillin is routinely utilized as a selectable marker to confirm successful cell transformation
the protein of interest is induced in the cell culture
Gentamicin Sulfate USP/MOLBIO 105-13-5 MOLECULAR BIOLOGY GRADEGentamicin is a broad spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against gram negative and gram positive species. In addition, gentamicin exhibits antimicrobial properties against species resistant to tetracycline, colistin, kanamycin, and chloramphenicol. Aminoglycoside antibiotics are composed of amino groups attached to glycosides. They bind the 30s ribosomal subunit, causing misreading of the mRNA sequence and inhibition of translocation.
